What we use
Cookies
Signing in. When you sign in, our database and sign-in provider, Supabase, sets cookies whose names begin with “sb-”. They keep you signed in. They last up to 400 days, or until you sign out.
Pro sign-in. A Pro signed in to the Pro app has a cookie named “pro_token” that keeps them signed in. It lasts 35 days.
Payments. When you enter or update a card, the card form comes from Stripe, our payment provider. Stripe may set its own cookies, such as “__stripe_mid” and “__stripe_sid”, to help prevent fraud. Stripe’s privacy policy governs them.
Other storage in your browser
A booking in progress. If you start a booking before you sign in, we save what you have entered — your name, email, phone, address and notes — in your browser, so it is still there after you sign in. It is removed when the booking is completed. If you leave the booking unfinished, it stays in that browser for 7 days, then is removed.
Booking progress in this tab. Two short identifiers stop a booking from being created twice. They are removed when you close the tab.
Language. If a language was chosen, the choice is remembered.
Error monitoring. To find and fix problems, we use Sentry. Only when an error occurs during a visit does Sentry record what happens on the page. In these recordings all text you see or type is masked and images are blocked. Sentry also receives technical details of errors, which can include your IP address and browser. This uses your browser’s session storage, not cookies.
